• How long does the refinishing or resurfacing take? Show Answer
  The tub refinishing process, including cleaning and prep, takes a few hours. Your project will usually be completed in a single day.
• What colors are available for repainting? Show Answer
  While Kohler White is the most popular, we can refinish your tub in a variety of colors.
• Does tub resurfacing come with a warranty? Show Answer
  We offer a 10 year limited warranty on refinishing services. The warranty covers bubbling, blistering, warping, and peeling due to workmanship or product defects, during normal residential use.
  If the primer and finishing coat adhesion fail, you are covered.
• When can I use my newly refinished tub? Show Answer
  You can normally use your tub the following evening.
• Do you handle plumbing? Show Answer
  We do not handle plumbing. If needed, the homeowner or a qualified plumber will need to disconnect water controls, spouts, overflows, drains, etc. Most of the time the fixtures are easy to remove with 1-2 screws or we can mask them off.
• How long will my reglazed tub last? Show Answer
  If you follow our maintenance instructions, your refinished tub should last for many years. We have seen many tubs that were refinished up to 20 years ago with only minor surface damage.
• Can my tub be resurfaced more than once? Show Answer
  Usually, refinishing a previously refinished tub is not a problem, but there is some extra work and cost involved with striping the old coating. Please let us know if your tub has already been refinished. Of course, if the problems that caused the previously refinished tub to prematurely break down, like a leaky faucet, they should be addressed prior to refinishing.
• What if my bathtub is chipped or cracked? Show Answer
  Most chips and cracks can be successfully repaired during the preparation process, prior to refinishing. Please let us know if there is any damage. There is usually no charge for repairing minor damage with a full refinish or reglaze.
• Should I paint before or after refinishing? Show Answer
  It is best to paint the walls, especially where they meet the tub, after refinishing. Prepping the tub for refinishing requires masking off the area around the tub, and fresh paint is notorious for chipping or peeling. Boise Bathtub Refinishing is not responsible for any paint peeling or chipping that takes place during refinishing.
• Does reglazing cause an odor? Show Answer
  Urethane finishes contain solvents which are necessary to make the surface hard and durable. We use ventilation fans to exhaust odors and smells from your home while we are working. Most of the time you can't smell the odor outside of the bathroom. After we leave it's best to leave on the ceiling exhaust in the bathroom for the rest of the day.
  
  Most of the odor leaves within 24-48 hours as the finish cures.
• When is payment due for bathtub refinishing? Show Answer
  Payment is due at the time of job completion. Commercial accounts are invoiced, with payment due within 30 days. We accept card (4% fee), check, and Venmo.
